Tucked away in a remote spot of Michigan's Upper Penninsula lies Engadine, Michigan. Located in Mackinac County, Engadine was established in 1894. When the Minneapolis-St. Paul /Sault Ste. Marie Railroad passed through the community in 1887, the Village of Engadine (called Kennedy Siding until 1893) saw increasing settlement. A number of sawmills began operating in various parts of the community until moving away in the 1920's
